Haley Croney, LCSW
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can feel intimidating, but it’s also a big win. Whether you're dealing with a specific challenge or just need extra support, I’m here to walk with you on this journey toward healing and self-discovery. You don't have to go through this alone – together, we’ll create the space for you to grow, explore, and feel better.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois with over 10 years of experience helping people through a wide range of challenges. I specialize in supporting clients who’ve faced partner violence, sexual assault, abuse, and relationship issues. Relationships – with others and ourselves – play a huge role in our emotional well-being, and I’m here to help you process the pain, grief, and even relief that can come with them. We’ll dive into the tough stuff, but also celebrate the good, learning to honor every part of your journey.
I’m especially passionate about breaking the stigma around topics like sexual health, reproductive health, and trauma recovery. I want you to feel totally comfortable talking about these things without judgment or shame.
My therapy style is warm, empathetic, and interactive. I’m here to listen, support, and challenge you as we work together through whatever comes up. Therapy can bring up intense emotions, but it’s often in those moments that the most meaningful growth happens.
I use an integrative approach, pulling from different methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This allows us to focus on practical solutions, build resilience, and develop healthier ways to cope. I also use a harm reduction approach, meaning we take things step-by-step, focusing on gradual progress rather than trying to change everything at once.
If it feels helpful, I can also provide intentional work between sessions to keep you on track and reinforce what we talk about in therapy. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’ll make sure our plan fits your unique needs and preferences, so you always feel seen, heard, and supported.
I believe in a holistic approach, addressing your emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. When all these pieces come together, it’s easier to find peace and balance in your life. You deserve to feel good about who you are and how you navigate the world, and I’m here to help you get there.
I’m excited to work with you and support you through all the challenges, breakthroughs, and everything in between.
